New Packaging, Same Great Taste!

The genius of America knows no bounds.

* * *

When I visited Manhattan last May I found myself with a strange aversion to getting too close to Ground Zero. After all the news coverage and public discussion when it all came down to it I felt like I had nothing more to witness or learn from personally seeing a big hole in the ground.

There is a fine line between public grief and sheer voyeurism. I wouldn’t deny anyone the right to take photos or get a glimpse of what was obviously a once-in-a-lifetime event, and a shocking one at that. But at some point people are going to shed their solemn contemplation and the September 11th terrorist attack will become a piece of public history to study, discuss and, yes, to market.
