Speak of the…
Looking at the calendar today, I feel devilishly clever.
Clever, that is, for finding this twin-bill concert with Neko Case and Martha Wainwright at NPR’s web site. Both singer’s concerts are available to download in MP3 format. They even do a lovely duet of “Star Witness” from Case’s most excellent recent album, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. I found Case’s performance far superior to the live album she released in 2004 (The Tigers Have Spoken), which failed to capture the raw energy and emotion of which she is so capable.
