RCI Breaking the Law
Election day update! As I type this, the polls in Canada have closed in some parts of the country, but not all.
In an intriguing twist, Radio Canada International appears to be breaking the law by providing a live audio feed of their broadcast. Canadian law forbids the media from broadcasting election results before all national polls are closed. The major Canadian news sites are obeying, but it looks like RCI forgot about this one as I’m currently listening to live results being read. Update: Hmm. That was fast. Somebody must have noticed a spike in traffic because the feed just went dead.
Having said all that, there are were no big shockers to report yet. So I won’t tempt Canadian law by telling you anything different.
