Cream, Sugar or 5.2% Fixed-Rate?
In the twenty-first century, apparently no retail or service interaction is complete without gourmet coffee and plush chairs.
Actually, I’ve often thought that most banks have a curious concept of customer experience. I’m the type of person who does all his banking online or by phone anyhow, but perhaps my behaviour is accentuated by the cold feeling one gets from soulless bank branches where there is nothing to do but stand in line.
On a related note, standard-issue fluorescent tube lighting, in any situation, should be banned.

I do all my routine banking on the web, but when I had a wee bit of money to invest I dropped by the ING storefront on Peel. It looks more like a café inside than a bank, and the person advising me made me an espresso. If nothing else, I had to admit they’d nailed my demographic perfectly.
