The Cent of Something New
For all the currency nerds out there, the European Central Bank has a rich web site that details the new money, from the bland compromise of Euro bills to the far more interesting coins, customized for all 12 countries.
I was pleased to visit Europe before all of this, if only so I got to hold and spend some Dutch guilders, which for my money will always be the classiest currency. The fifty guilder note is, soon will have been, a thing of beauty.
