Too bad I read “When

Too bad I read "When You're Young, You're Sold" only after buying all my back-to-whatever (not school anymore... bad weather perhaps?) clothes.

The author, a teenager who sounds not all so unlike my past self (well, save better spoken and more published), sagely dissects the golden aura of Abercrombie & Fitch (a brand which has--perhaps fortuitously--not yet arrived in Montreal). Like other retailers of its ilk, A&F seeks to sell a lifestyle before it sells you clothes through its "magalogue" (or is that a "catazine"?). Check out their web site and you can listen to MP3s, watch models-cum-college kids prance around NYC, and even download goodies for the computer. Yes, not only can you wear the clothes, you can absorb the screen saver and send the post cards to your friends.

Help!
