No sirree, they don’t make

No sirree, they don't make movie trailers like they used to [you'll need Quicktime 4].

This, er, ripe number comes courtesy of the re-issue of one of the funnier films of all time, This Is Spinal Tap. While I'm not generally an eager fan of this entertainment industry habit--"Let's re-issue old stuff 'cause our new stuff is all crap!"--Tap is an authentic classic; as the poster exclaims, "THE FUNNIEST ROCK MOVIE EVER MADE." With new footage, including a narrative setup for the infamous airport security scene (some might call it the zucchini scene), I'll have to take the bait this time.

Oddly enough, the trailer manages to capture the humour and spirit of the film without showing you any of it...a lesson some modern day trailer hacks might take to the editing room with them.

Am I the only one that likes to see movies when I don't really have any idea what's going to happen in them?
