Well, I discovered yesterday that Blogger (the tool I use to post these think-nuggets) doesn't like long posts. In fact, it just plain refuses to process them. That'll teach me to wax eloquent. So the two posts below were originally one, and were supposed to go up yesterday, when they were a bit more timely and spontaneous and heartfelt and all that.
