As they say here in la belle province, bonne fête du Canada! After last weekend's St. Jean Baptiste festivities, Canada Day in Montreal is a subdued affair. No shortage of flags flapping, but most of them are handed out eagerly to the unwitting passers by, the Québécois who are mostly content to absorb the festivities in a passive, if-I-must sort of fashion.
In other news, it's nice to know that, brain drain or not, there's room for national celebration even in some more unlikely places.
