Bonne St. Jean

It’s la fête nationale here in Quebec, otherwise known as St-Jean-Baptiste Day, named of course after the patron saint of cheese curds, smoked meat and ice hockey.

ESPN baseball columnist Rob Neyer probably had no idea, but he did spend the weekend in town ruminating on baseball and the Expos and Montreal, while playing pick-up softball and ogling Olympic Stadium. Always interesting, the outsider’s perspective.
