Ah, Britney. The critics just can’t resist. Is she too sexy? Is she sending the wrong message? What does it all mean?

Another in-depth analysis, another yawn perhaps, but I nevertheless found myself clicking on the headline. And I nodded my head in agreement with much of the argument.

We’re all big suckers in a Spears world. No doubt master’s students are now writing their theses on this riveting subject. Gritty feminist authors will replace Madonna with Britney as their ‘ironic’ hero of choice. God help us all.
