Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?

Are you a web site designer? Do you publish Quicktime movies? It might interest you to know that people browsing the Web using the newest versions of Internet Explorer (5.5 SP2 and the just-released 6.0) will be unable to view Quicktime content on your web site, thanks to Microsoft’s decision to cease supporting the Netscape plug-in format.

But nevermind the technical gobledigook; there is a solution to the problem. Apple has thoughtfully adopted Microsoft’s Active X format, and hence offers a way to ensure everyone can watch your movies.
