Seattle newspaper journalists, working for the Times and the Post-Intelligencer, voted to go on strike yesterday.

In a stroke of 21st century action, they have already put up a union newspaper online, the Seattle Union Record, where stories written by the striking writers will appear. The news doesn't stop for nobody, no sir, and the Seattle hacks know it. The sheer speed at which they managed to cobble this thing together speaks to a hefty advantage the Web has over print.
